DUNCAN, LESLIE.
Lesliep assed away on Friday (March 12 2010) aged 66 after suffering from cerebrovascular disease.
Duncan had been suffering from cerebrovascular disease.
As well as carving out her own career in the mid-'60s following a move from her native Stockton-On-Tees
to London, Duncan performed vocals on Elton John's album 'Madman Across The Water', Pink Floyd s 'The Dark Side Of The Moon'
and Ringo Starr's 'Goodnight Vienna'.
Duncan also worked with Dusty Springfield, while John recorded a version of her song 'Love Song'
for his 1970 album 'Tumbleweed Connection', which she contributed vocals too (listen to it below).

(including guitarist Chris Spedding, Pentangle drummer Terry Cox, and most of all Elton John himself on piano) 'Moonbathing' in 1975 and 1977's 'Maybe It's Lost'.
Vocals and keyboards. After a string of unsuccessful singles from "I Want A Steady" in 1963 recorded as "Lesley Duncan and The Jokers" to "Sing Children Sing" in 1969 Lesley Duncan finally got noticed when Elton John recorded her song "Love Song" on his "Tumbleweed Connection" album (Love Song ’70).
