STEURMER, DARYL.

After the departure of lead-guitarist Steve Hackett, bassist Michael Rutherford played bass and lead-guitar on Then there where Three ('78). But on stage was that a problem. Bassist Alphonso Johnson (of Weather Report) was someone who fitted in the team Genesis, but after a few sessions they came to the conclussion that Michael couldn't play all the lead-guitar. So Alphonso got a " thank you" and he sugested Daryl Steurmer (from Jean Luc Pounty). Daryl stayed just like the new drummer Chester Thompson in Genesis and played also with the solo-projects of Tony, Michael en Phillip. Session:
