NEWS LETTER

Addition: 17 January

Depature of Liam Davison & Andrew Jennings.

Hello,
It is my duty to inform you that due to unfortunate conflicting commitments that both Liam and Andy Jennings have departed Mostly Autumn. We can only wish them all the best for the future in whatever they pursue. Andy will be focussing his time with "Snowfight" who are at a very exciting position at present. Liam has issued the following statement...

"Although it has been one of the hardest decisions i've had to make, I feel I must sadly depart from Mostly Autumn. Working with Mostly Autumn has been a great experience and a truly inspirational journey, I sincerely wish them every success in the future, not only will I miss performing with such fine musicians, I will also miss everyone connected behind the scenes. I will concentrate 2007 on working on my solo album which will hopefully see it's release in the not too distant future. I would like to thank each and every one of the fans that have given the band tremendous support throughout the years and all the years to come. See you on the other side..."
Liam Davison.

I would like you to give a warm welcome to Gavin Griffiths, ex-Karnataka and Fish, who will be joining the band on drums. We have admired Gavin's playing from afar for many years now and are very much looking forward to working with him. We will not be replacing Liam in the immediate future. All dates will go ahead as normal and more will be added.

Suzie Bielby / Mostly Autumn Records.

So as we approach a new era I can only say that, although there will be a sadness connected with these departures, I have never felt more excited about the future of Mostly Autumn. We are in the process of signing some new fantastic record contracts for North America, Canada, Scandinavia and Europe and the response to Heart Full Of Sky has been stunning. Thanks again to all of you who pre-ordered H.F.O.S they are almost gone now and I can say it has been heart breaking deciding which songs to leave out for general release, but after weeks of taking many things into consideration, the final order will be disc one with "Further From Home" slotted in before "Dreaming". "Half A World" and "Pocket Watch" may be released as singles in the not too distant future. Happy new year everybody and hope to see you at the Astoria and beyond,

cheers,
Bryan Josh.

Newsletter mostlypink.net January 13 2007.

Hello dear friends,
Hope you had a good start of the New Year.
Wish you all all the best, please stay healthy and in love; all the other good things will follow.
Today it starts with a problem at my server, so my site is out of the air. Don't become sad, you'll find some links to amazing good sites in this letter.

Important gigs & news:

The Reasoning:
The New Promising Rock Band from Wales will launch their debut album called "Awakening" at the Point at Cardif UK: 24 February. Please visit their amazing beautiful flashy site at www.thereasoning.com or become friends with them on MySpace.
The 19th of January there will be a pre-pre launch gig in Swansea.
Their album is still in pre-sale: and it is a bargain and will be signed by all members!

Mostly Autumn:
Full Audiovisual Launch Party of the fantastic new album "Heart Full Of Sky" in London/ Astoria; 10 February. Don't miss that, it's gonna be a full loaded show!
Peter Knight the legendary violin player of Steeley Span iwill be present on the launch party.
and Ann-Marie Helder will do the support act aswell some backing vocals. Or will she play flute aswell together with our Angela?
Dear Troy Donockley is on tour with Barbara Dickson, so it will be very doubtful that he will be there ;-(
A review of the album will be ready soon.
In the meantime you could enjoy the pictures of their last gigs at this page.

Breathing Space:
Andrew Jennings is drummer in Mostly Autumn and drummer in the band of his brother. That will give problems in the near future so I asked Iain about the plans:
"We are currently working on a new album. Half is already written and has been played live so the arrangements and chemistry are growing. It is difficult to get the chance to gig songs before you record them but we have that luxury on this new album. We are also auditioning drummers at the moment and that is going well. We have been offered a 3 year Distribution Deal for the US and Cananda which is an exciting prospect. The company also have John Wetton, Geoff Downes, Alan White, Chris Thompson, Alan Parsons, and Colin Blunstone under their wing. The plan is that Breathing Space will be doing the support for some of these artists.

Odin Dragonfly:
You would have thought that after recording a double Mostly Autumn album and completing a follow-up tour, it would be time to take a break! Not so for Heather and Angela, who are now in the studio working on Odin Dragonfly's debut album 'Offerings', which will be available from mid February. Pre-production for the album has gone very well and both Heather and Angela are really excited about the project (as indeed are we!).
Offerings will be a full-length studio album. Currently 13 tracks are planned, 11 of which will be originals. None of the recordings of all of these songs have been released before.
There will be regular updates and insights on their progress available on www.odindragonfly.com from Monday 8th January. We will of course aim to keep you up to date on ‘Out Of The Inn’ too!

The duo will be celebrating 'Offerings' completion and launch with a small tour throughout February.

Blind Ego:
Kalle Wallners (RPWL's guitarist) solo debut will be launched 24th of January in Freising (München).
And his album is called Mirror and is a Rock beauty, absolute great. Guest musicians:

John Jowitt: bass (IQ, Frost, Jadis, Neo, Arena)
John Mitchell: vocals (Kino, It Bites, The Urbane, Frost)
Paul Wrightson: vocals (ex-Arena)
Tommy Eberhardt: drums (Legazy, Beat Freaks)
special guest appearance:
Yogi Lang: keyboards
Clive nolan: backing vocals
Stefan Obermaier: sound-design

The following bands are on tour aswell:

Blackfield + new album (!),

Stream of Passion,

Landmarq,

Pendragon,

Kayak,

Marillion,

Roger Waters &

Genesis.

Singles are not my favourite buys, but there are two I want to promote: Arnold Layne by David Gilmour and David Bowie!
Please visit their MySpacePage and vote.
Buy at www.bol.com and get them in the Charts!

ProgAid All Around The World only 3,5 Pounds!!!
Buy at www.progrock.co.uk

So 2007 has made a good start with some excellent releases in the pipeline. And more will follow, to stay at the family tree of one of my favourite singers; Rachel Jones. Hope she is doing well now, because she has some problems with a terrible flew this week.

Her new band the Reasoning will launch their debut in February (with ex-bass player Matthew Cohen and Mark Megan & Steve Rotthery/ both from Marillion). Rachels ex-band Karnataka will tour again and a new album is coming out soon. While ex-members of Karnataka are almost ready with their album, the band is called Panic Room, with the great vocalist Ann Marie Helder (she's involved with Mostly Autumn too). And to make the family complete Ian Jones is also busy with his long-awaited Chasing the Monsoon project...

So this is were www.mostlypink.net is all about.

Enjoy it.

Thanks for still being with me.

Please take care,
Nick from the lovely South of the Netherlands
